Our Story

In late 1978, George and Mary Georges began feeding hungry Clevelanders at Danny’s Deli on St. Clair Avenue. The deli became a Cleveland institution, known for its generous portions, quality sandwiches, and customer hospitality.

In 2006, Dan Georges took his parents recipe for success down to Columbus and established Danny’s Deli on Broad and Front Street. In an effort to preserve family tradition and explore other ventures, Dan sold the Columbus Danny’s Deli location to other members of the Georges family and opened Lexis on Third, named after his daughter, Alexiana.

In 2019, Dan closed the Columbus Danny’s Deli location. Customer favorites and Danny’s Deli Catering can now be found at Lexis on Third.

I am honored to continue the family legacy of a quality dining experience. Thank you for your loyalty and patronage – Dan Georges
